Welcome to Congresbury Parish Council  


Congresbury Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group have been working on a plan which is now available for the informal community consultation stage. A robust programme of community engagement helps to make sure the plan is based on proper understanding of the local area and the needs, aspirations and views of local people.

How to have your say

Residents can access copies of the Plan via this website here and there will also be a limited number of paper copies that will be available from the Parish Office and Congresbury Community Library.

The Plan will be on display in the St Andrew's Room, Old School Rooms and members of the Steering Group will be available to provide further detail and answer any questions on the following dates between 6.30 pm and 8pm;

 August 2nd, 6th, 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 30th

September 3rd, 6th, 12th and 13th  These are drop-in sessions, no booking is required.

This is your opportunity to discuss the proposed policies and give your views. Whether positive and in agreement with the policies or for suggested amendments and improvements. Your views count and are needed.

There is a meeting of the Full Parish Council on Monday 13th August 2018 at 7.30 pm in the St Andrews Room, Old School Rooms, Station Road, Congresbury. The agenda for the meeting can be found here. Supporting documents are available via the Council Meetings tab. 


The Parish Council currently has vacancies for Parish Councillors. The Parish Council plays a vital role in the Parish of Congresbury, working towards keeping the Parish an attractive place to live and influencing the future of the area. The Parish Council holds meetings in the Old School Rooms once a month, to which members of the public are invited. Meetings usually last up to 2 hours, depending on the agenda. In addition to regular meetings, councillors are occasionally required to attend other meetings or events representing the Council.
